A dark fantasy tactical RPG where the Alliance is the true protagonist. Heroes die. The Alliance survives. This is not a game about chosen ones. In Foedus , you don't build a party of legendary heroes destined to save the world. You build an Alliance — a desperate, evolving war machine. Heroes are assets. Useful. Replaceable. Sometimes tragic. What you will actually do Prepare in your stronghold (Barracks, Alchemy, Library, Mystic Vault, Market) Deploy a squad with limited abilities per mission — no cooldown spam Fight turn-based tactical battles where positioning and timing matter Adapt when your Alliance develops negative traits — because survival has a cost The Alliance System Your Alliance has 5 branches , each upgradeable and specializable: Barracks – Recruit, train, replace heroes Alchemy – Research and craft potions to enhance your heroes Library – Research and craft scrolls to unleash against your enemies Mystic Vault – Identify, study, and awaken magical artifacts for your party Market – Exchange vile gold for what the alliance cannot forge Every Alliance is born with traits — great strengths that come at the cost of necessary weaknesses. No two Alliances evolve the same way. The core loop Prepare → Choose strategy → Deploy → Tactical combat → Rewards → Upgrade → (Lose someone) → Evolve → Repeat Current state The procedural campaign system is already working — maps are generated, full campaigns can be played from start to finish. Currently implemented: Random map generation for high replayability Fully playable turn-based combat A set of classes (more to come) What I'm building next: Handcrafted campaigns with designed maps Additional classes More enemies, relics, and Alliance upgrades No Early Access decision has been made yet. The priority right now is expanding the core systems and listening to what players want to see next. Wishlist if you believe in Alliances that outlive heroes Add Foedus to your Steam Wishlist. Follow the evolution. And remember: "Heroes fall. The Alliance survives."
