Since then, the government-authorized organization Abnormality Countermeasure Special Agency — Genshi Tenken Institute (commonly known as Genten Institute ) was established, and the observation, research, and extermination of Anomalies has been carried out officially. Anomalies are currently classified as “biological phenomena existing outside the established laws of reason,” and are managed and handled according to their danger level.
