SquareLife is a 2D life-simulation sandbox where you don't control creatures — you design them, set them loose, and watch a whole ecosystem write its own story. You shape each creature from a small pool of traits within a point budget, decide whether it's a plant, herbivore, carnivore, or omnivore, then drop your roster into the world and press play. From there it's alive: things wander, hunt, graze, flee, pair off, and breed. Nobody scripted what happens next. And what happens next evolves. Offspring inherit and blend their parents' traits, mutations push them in unexpected directions, and thriving bloodlines visibly drift over generations — even their shapes change as they grow more complex, becoming something you never could have built at the start.
