Be the owner, not just the manager. Sunberry Island is a vacation park sim where you’re physically part of the world. Build your legacy from the ground up, manage guest expectations, and survive the seasons on a sun-soaked island that reacts to your every move. Manage a park, live the life Most management games keep you at a distance, but in Sunberry Island, you aren't a floating cursor . You are a character with your own needs, skills, and limits. If a pipe bursts at 3 AM, you’re the one getting out of bed. If the budget is tight, you’re the one scrubbing the toilets. Your physical presence matters—and your mood affects how the island sees you. Real Construction, Real Consequences Forget magic wands. Design your layout, order materials from Sunberry Supply , and watch your builders get to work. Get the logistics right, and the park thrives. Get it wrong, and you’ll be the one explaining to a grumpy camper why their shower block is still a pile of bricks. Don't forget to map out your water, gas, and electricity grids, or your perfect layout will stall before it even starts. Expand your park, manage your guests Start with a handful of basic tent pitches and work your way up to luxury cabins, premium lodges, or even a spa and restaurant. But remember: as your park grows, so do your guests' expectations. From backpackers and hikers to families and seniors, everyone arrives with their own standards and patience threshold. A tired guest will complain about noise in a heartbeat, while a satisfied one might overlook a small wait. Each expansion brings new personalities to manage — get it right and your park thrives, get it wrong and you'll hear about it immediately. Hire staff with real lives Every staff member arrives with a background story, personality traits and needs of their own. Hire the right person for the right role(s) and they'll keep the park running while you deal with everything else. Neglect their needs and they'll start neglecting yours. Seasons change everything Summer fills the park. Winter empties it. Manage your money across the year, take out a loan when the quiet months stretch on, and make sure the good season pays for the one that follows. A beautiful park that runs out of cash in February is still a failed park. It's easy to fill the park with guests in the high season, the hardest part is to keep them all happy and unhappy customers don't pay. In low season, you can walk to the beach with a fishing rod. Or grow your own produce. The island has more potential than one season can hold. Bureaucracy & Risks Expand through permits, not levels . Want a casino? Apply at the island council. Whether they approve it in a week or a month depends on the mayor’s mood. Want to skip the paperwork? Build close to the protected coastline and pray the inspectors don't notice. Sometimes you get away with it; sometimes the fine wipes out your entire summer season. Built to be modded The game is easy to mod. Add a new lodging type, change how "needs" work, build something the island doesn't have yet. The game is designed to be extended. I hope the Steam Workshop will be full of creations that increase the replay-ability of the game for many years to come. About the Developer Sunberry Island is being built by one person. While still working on Rimworld mods, I started it as an experiment in making a management sim that actually felt personal: where the pressure was yours, not just your guests. It's been in development for a while now, and it's getting close to something worth showing. Sunberry Island is my passion project and I’m committed to supporting and expanding this world for as long as I possibly can. If that sounds like your kind of game, the best thing you can do right now is add it to your wishlist.
